From July 31 to August 3 \u2013 Fano celebrates its bond with the sea<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most beloved summer events returns to Fano: the Festa del Mare<\/strong>, now in its 66th edition. Four days of concerts, sea performances, children\u2019s activities, guided tours, exhibitions, local cuisine, and commemorative ceremonies. A unique opportunity to celebrate maritime culture and the deep connection between the city and its seafaring heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Festa del Mare<\/em> (Sea Festival) is deeply rooted in Fano\u2019s identity and honors its long-standing relationship with the sea, celebrating its fishing traditions, port life, and the people who have shaped this maritime community over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Festa del Mare<\/em> is a journey through local flavors, music, and tradition. Enjoy communal dinners along the seafront, live music every evening, guided tours and exhibitions exploring Fano\u2019s maritime past, and hands-on activities and workshops for children inspired by the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday, August 3 will feature one of the festival\u2019s most emotional moments: a memorial ceremony honoring lost sailors, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the Molo dell\u2019Arzilla<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local products, seafood tradition, and freshly caught fish<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the harbor area, the Festa del Mare<\/em> also becomes a tasting experience of the most authentic dishes from Fano\u2019s coastal cuisine. The area called \u201cDal peschereccio alla tavola\u201d<\/strong> (\u201cFrom the fishing boat to the table\u201d) hosts food stands where you can enjoy traditional recipes prepared by local fishermen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
