The event: a celebration of seafood and tradition

Four days of authentic food experiences and maritime culture! For its 23rd edition, BrodettoFest returns with a unique format celebrating the tradition of brodetto, positioning itself as one of Italy’s premier seafood gastronomy events.

Live music, cooking shows with renowned chefs, the national brodetto competition, irresistible tastings, boat excursions, children’s workshops, and environmental education initiatives will enrich the 2025 program, designed to captivate an increasingly international audience.

Join the competition

The competition is open to professional chefs, freelance chefs, and personal chefs with all required certifications.

Participants must create a “brodetto or fish soup” recipe, which can be a creative take on a traditional dish or an entirely new interpretation. There are no restrictions on concept or execution.

Competitors can register for free from 3 March 2025 (12:00 PM) to 13 April 2025 (11:59 PM) by submitting their recipe with a title, short description, ingredient list, and a photo of the completed dish.
A technical jury of experts, including gastronomes, chefs, and journalists, will select the top 8 contestants. The finalists will compete in the grand finale in Fano on 31 May and 1 June 2025
