Fano Città da giocare 2023

The "Fano città dei bambini e delle bambine" project is the heritage of the whole city, because it deals with promoting initiatives for the well-being of all citizens, starting from the smallest

Città da Giocare is an initiative organized by the Municipality of Fano as part of the project Città dei Bambini, born in 1994 from the request of the Children's Council to claim their right to use public spaces and move around the city streets in safety and autonomy.

The City Council accepted this request and the city of Fano organizes a demonstration once a year in May, closing the streets to traffic and giving them away to children to play. It is an event of great significance because it aims to raise awareness among citizens on the use of the roads not only by cars, but also by pedestrians and cyclists and on the risks of pollution.

The Mayor of Fano Massimo Seri strongly wanted to relaunch the project Fano Città dei Bambini and this event is an important opportunity to spread the message to all citizens, as well as to the children of the city. The goal is to focus on people, the quality of life and the urban environment through the sharing of public spaces and respect for everyone's rights to experience the city.

The event takes place on the last Sunday of May, in Viale Gramsci and in the historic center of Fano and includes a succession of laboratory, educational and performance activities organized by schools, associations and sports groups dedicated to children. In 2018 it was Città da giocare has been extended in two districts of the city with great success.
