The night of museums – Museums, Sustainability and Welfare

The Night of the Museums returns to Fano again this year with a program that will involve adults and children on the theme of Museums, Sustainability and Wellness: Cultural welfare and museums. The initiative, now in its 15th edition, is promoted by the Department of Culture of the Marche Region and the Marche Culture Foundation, in collaboration with the MiC - Ministry of Culture Regional Directorate of Marche Museums and the Marche Regional Coordination of ICOM Italy. The theme identified by ICOM represents an opportunity to reflect on how museums can play a role in supporting the sustainable development of our communities and to allow the public to reappropriate museum spaces. With this in mind, on Saturday 13th of May the Archaeological Museum and the Art Gallery of Palazzo Malatestiano will welcome visitors free of charge with an extraordinary opening of the venue from 21.00 to 24.00 and a series of particularly suggestive initiatives. As in the past, this year's edition will also be realized thanks to the precious collaboration of the teachers and students of the Liceo Artistico "Apolloni" (Nolfi Apolloni / Fano).

Inside the various rooms, the students of the Figurative Arts, Metal Design, Furniture Design, Architecture and Scenography sections will set up demonstration workshops of various classical and contemporary artistic techniques concerning drawing, pictorial techniques, plastic modeling and techniques of metalworking.

Children will also be involved, thanks to the Riciquadri al chiaro di luna. (Recommended age: from 6 years old)

The evening will be enlivened by the musical performance of the Fano Jazz Club Association.

For the occasion, the Museum of the Via Flaminia will also remain open at the same time from 21.00 to 24.00.
