Four days in which Fano transforms into a large open-air stage by the sea, where brodetto becomes an experience, a story and an identity.

For its 24th edition, BrodettoFest returns with a unique format celebrating maritime tradition and the authentic flavors of the Adriatic, confirming itself as one of Italy’s leading seafood gastronomy events.

Cooking shows with renowned chefs, tastings, live music, boat excursions, children’s workshops and initiatives focused on marine sustainability will enrich the 2026 program, designed to engage an increasingly wide and international audience.

Four days to discover the authentic taste of brodetto, meet leading figures from the culinary world, take part in activities for all ages and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Fano.

From cooking shows and tastings to music, sea experiences and family-friendly moments, the festival tells the story of the city’s maritime soul and invites you to experience it firsthand.

Join the national brodetto competition

The competition is open to professional chefs, freelance chefs and personal chefs who hold all the certifications required to practice their profession.

Participants are asked to create a brodetto or fish soup recipe. The dish can be a creative reinterpretation of a traditional recipe or an original creation. Concept and execution are completely open.

Applications will be free of charge and details regarding registration and deadlines will be announced soon. Each submission must include the recipe with title, short description, list of ingredients and a photo of the prepared dish.

A technical jury composed of industry experts, including gastronomes, chefs and journalists, will select the finalists who will compete in the final stage of the contest in Fano during the festival.
