Sea Festival 2026
From 31 July to 2 August – Fano celebrates its connection with the sea

One of Fano’s most beloved summer events returns for its 67th edition: the Sea Festival. It is a unique opportunity to celebrate maritime culture and the deep bond between the city and its harbour traditions.
The Sea Festival is rooted in Fano’s close relationship with the sea, honouring its maritime history and the activities connected to it, including fishing and trade.
What can you expect?
The Sea Festival is a journey through flavours, music and tradition. Visitors can dine together along the seafront, enjoy live music and discover Fano’s maritime heritage through a range of sea-related activities.
One of the most moving moments is the ceremony commemorating those lost at sea, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the water.
Local products, traditional cuisine and freshly caught fish
In the harbour area, the Sea Festival also becomes a journey through the authentic flavours of Fano’s cuisine. Here, visitors can taste dishes prepared according to the original recipes of local fishermen.
Specialities include traditional seafood dishes such as Vongole alla pureta, prepared according to an old Fano recipe, grilled fish known as Rustita, sizzling grilled sardines called Sardoncini scottadito, and much more.
A delicious experience to enjoy with the scent of the sea all around.
